  • December Album Review Digest Online! The final edition of our 2001 digest, comprised of a dozen concise reviews, is now available. Our headline review is the second album—entitled Arcana—from Austria's Edenbridge featuring the stunning vocal work of Sabine Edelsbacher. Reviews of albums by Tiger Dragon (Wales), Claire Voyant (USA), White Willow (Norway), Juliana (UK), a seasonal collection by Cecilia (Norway) and two by the a capella ensemble Rajaton (Finland) are also included.

    The digest also includes reviews of albums by American bands, including the female pop trio ZOEgirl, a Tolkienesque collection from progressive rock band Glass Hammer, a double album by Faith And The Muse and a Karl Jenkins-sounding new age collection under the monniker E. S. Posthumus. Our review of the album by Renaissance Illusion—fronted by Jim McCarty—(UK) entitled Through The Fire concludes the December Digest. (30 December 2001)

  • Within Temptation Feature Now Online! Comprehensive reviews of Within Temptation's albums and EPs are now online. Their latest album Mother Earth is one of 2001's best picks alongside Magenta's Revolutions, Ambeon's Fate of a Dreamer and Nexus' Metanoia. Photographs of Within Temptation vocalist Sharon den Adel, provided by the label (DSFA) and Joseph Voncken, are included in this year's final Musical Discoveries feature. (26 December 2001)

  • November Digest Online! Another eclectic edition of Musical Discoveries' Digest is now online. Contemporary crossover highlights include Sarah Brightman's latest Classics, Libera's latest album Luminosa, Adiemus Live featuring Miriam Stockley and Music From Lord Of The Rings featuring two all-new Enya tracks. Inputs from Scandinavian and American correspondents are featured this month.

    Reviews of the stunning progressive instrumental album by Soniq Theater is complimented by three vocally intensive works. These include Gabriel's Ascension, Gina Dootson's debut 3AM Generation and Solitary Motions, the debut album by Finland's number one female singer songwriter Emmi.

    Three new age albums with vocal work by Cora O'Donovon round out our November lineup: Terra Del Sol's Selection One, Elysia's Spirit Of The Sun and the all-new album (not yet released) by Freud entitled The Great Crossing. Check out the new digest today!
