  • January 2004 Digest Now Online! The January 2004 edition of our digest is now online. Reviews of new albums by Sarah McLachlan, Norah Jones, the Russian classical crossover act Ariaphonics (Paul Schwartz meets Emma Shapplin) and the various (female) artists compilation Oh! From The Girls are presented first.

    The digest continues with reviews of new DVDs by Mostly Autumn (York Opera House with special guests) and Karnataka (Trenton, NJ, USA), as well as new albums by Alex Parks, Hungry Lucy, Serah and Rajaton. It is completed with reviews of the latest offering from Rochester, NY's Marcie and a retrospective review of material by Holly McNarland. (31 January 2004)

  • Heidi Vincent Album Nears Completion! Singer songwriter Heidi Vincent, who has worked over the past year with Vic Levak on her new album Are You Happy Now, reports that work has completed and is in the final stages of the publishing process. In the run up to the release, we have updated our review of the demo and added a new photo of the artist. (28 January 2004)

  • Sarah McLachlan Afterglow and Other Album Reviews Now Online! Our review of the stunning new album by Sarah McLachlan entitled Afterglow is now online.   • Hear New Norah Jones Tracks! In conjunction with Blue Note Music we have the pleasure of pointing visitors to streaming audio of new material (click here!) from Norah Jones (website). A review of Feels Like Home will be published in conjunction with the release, presently scheduled for February 10.   • Kristy Thirsk "Souvenir" Update! The first single from Souvenir entitled "Run Away" will be released on 01 February 2004 with the official Canadian album release on Maple/Universal to follow on 01 March 2004. A video to promote "Run Away" is being made in February. We are informed that the album will include the pop sounding and summery bonus track "Over It." The Maple/Universal album will also include a different cover photo. For further information visit Kristy's website.

    Our exclusive interview with Kristy Thirsk accompanies a review of her first official solo album Souvenir in a new article. It is illustrated with original photos of Kristy taken for the album's artwork by Johann Wall. Kristy is also recognised by being added to Musical Discoveries' featured artist page.
